2D Animators (06/03/2011)

Position Summary

Big Bad Boo is seeking experienced 2D Animators for the TV series "1001 Nights".

Responsible for providing key animation in Toonboom Harmony, incorporating animation supervisor, director and producer notes. Responsible for completing all in between animation. Basic character modeling knowledge is a plus.

We are a young company looking for an energetic team player who can positively contribute to creating the best properties in a fun studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up poses for animation in Toonboom Harmony
• Doing in between animation for all assigned scenes in Toonboom Harmony
• Incorporate all notes from Animation Supervisor, Producers, and Supervising Director
• Provide creative ideas and work in a team environment under strict deadlines
• Provide notes and guidance to junior animators on animated scenes if needed
• Work closely with layout, design, animation and all members of the production team to create a unique show

Requirements

• Full-time in-house position requires the applicant to be from the Lower Mainland.
• MUST have some animation experience in digital medium on a children’s TV show with a known company or equivalent. Toonboom Harmony knowledge is a plus.
• Strong animation and life drawing skills conveying emotions and actions
• Experience with digital animation like Flash or Harmony is a must
• Degree or diploma from an accredited animation school or program
• Experience with Mac computers
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Familiarity with MS office and Adobe drawing products is a plus
